In addition to helmets and motorcycles Ric
Duppstadt and co. (helmetpaint.com/
Dimension3) also specializes in custom paint
on guitars.  The guitar side of business was born
from Ric’s longtime relationship with his late
friend Dimebag Darrell Abbott (from the rock
band Pantera and Damageplan).  Ric started
painting Darrell’s guitars back in the late 80’s.
Ric began painting guitars that Dime needed
refurbished.  They combined Ric’s motorcycle
and helmet paint style with Darrell’s love for
flashy things.  Before his untimely death, Darrell played on stages worldwide, was featured in
magazines and seen in music videos.  All with many guitars that Ric had painted.

Several of the designs that Ric painted for Darrell, were used as the original article for designs
used on Darrell’s signature series, guitar line with both Washburn and Dean guitar companies.
Some of these designs include:
*The alien camo Trendkill (Washburn)
*Dime o Flame (Dean)
*Dime o Flage (Dean)

Other guitars of note that Ric painted include:
*A couple of diff. Confederate flags (std. wavy, dark candy wavy, etc.)
*Black lightning bolt with burst behind pick-ups (Cem. Gates video)
*Concrete with broken areas (Dean w/ Wash. neck)
*Coors Light / weed leafs
*Drilled and splintered holes on black (I'm Broken video)
*The dark purple lightning bolt (Dean)
*The Hell o flage (Yellow, Red, Orange, Damageplan Washburn)
*Also a Dean Cadillac(?) with Kiss faces that Dime kept in his living room
*Various others for his personal use
To see some of these and others go to the guitar gallery here.

*You too can have a Dime replica.  Ric will paint the same design as he did for
Darrell, with the same paint in the same location and by the same artist (Ric).
This is the closest thing to having the same guitar as Dime.
